In Memory Of

It is very difficult to find those friends we made from 1970 to 1972 in China Lake, CA.  When memory provides some additional detail, sometimes that is enough to open some possibilities and, hopefully, lead to the discovery of a long, lost China Lake Homie.

On two occasions, my search led to sad news of the passing of our old friends.  This page of our site is dedicated to the fond memories of our China Lake Homies that are Gone Too Soon.

Craig Slick died in 1997 in a biking accident near his home in Oklahoma, as reported by his wife Donna.

Henry Hornsby, died in 2000 of stomach cancer in California as reported by his wife, Annette.

Brian Bagshaw, cousin to Dennis Bagshaw, was an ADJ, who worked on the Hotline between 1969 and 1970 or 71. He got orders to the Phillipines from China Lake.  Brian lost his fight with cancer on April 4, 2007.

Timothy Rule, from Chicago, who worked on the Cold Line, died in 2000 with multiple medical problems reported by his sister, Yvonne.
